going the distance against your fear

an understanding of why we’re here

God has already met your every need

So many souls still lost and lonely
they’ll follow the light they see in you

When much is given, much is expected
will you help God to see them through

I’ve made a list of wish gifts for you

First of all, I wish gift you Faith
to know that GOD will see you through

My second wish gift for you is Love
every day right from the start

Freely given for you to share
person to person and heart to heart

Next I wish gift you Good Health
may you be well; mind, body, and soul

I pray that you will awaken to this truth
GOD has made you perfect and whole

And now I wish gift you an Abundant Life
GOD won’t let you down, he hasn’t yet

There’s more than enough, please be giving
your every need has already been met

My final wish gift is for World Peace
that all GOD’S Children may live without fear

than for Peace On Earth all through the year

This day is going to be my day

The masses stumble blindly about

he sent twin sisters, joy and sorrow

I asked to be strong and aggressive
he asked why, will you be fighting

I asked God to keep me healthy
weak and ill, he taught me to care

Yes my friend, I’ve been there too
on so many roads high and low

The desert journey dry and dusty
seeking what I’ll never know

A new friend or a former lover
should I make it happen or let it be

A quest for meaning or is it only
looking for someone looking for me

Role players in some grand ballet
marionettes posing as dancers

The offspring of something more
loving a world bereft of answers

Could it be hiding in front of us
our weary eyes too jaded to see

Or something as simple as love
looking for someone looking for me

Mountains stand against the seasons
rivers wind their way to the sea

Each souls seeks to find a balance
a sense of peaceful equanimity

Eagles soar high above the heavens
their angelic shadows fill the sky

Our weary bodies ache and yearn
yet each has been given a spirit to fly

Our world impermanent and fleeting
it’s not how much or who you knew

Love is the only thing that matters
so I pray for and send my love to you

Though life can seem to be a tragedy
our hearts were born to rise above

You can find peace come what may
you only need to remember to love
