brown and white sugar
flour and eggs
some chopped nuts
and chocolate chips
mixed in a bowl and baked with love
there’s a few other things i didn’t speak of
but baking some treats
for when he arrives
hoping he’ll know
he was on my mind
feeling quite helpless
with this shift in power
but trust that he knows
i’m a delicate flower
i’ll do my best
to take care of his needs
and hope that he
takes good care of me
